I have a 1989 Correct Craft Sport Nautique that's in need to get speakers replaced. However I cannot determine if I can only fit a 5.25" speaker in the pre-cut holes? Attached are some photos. Can I put 6.5" speakers in this and be fine? 

Has anyone else upgraded their speakers in their boat themselves? I don't know what I'm doing here.
