I've noticed some older Nautiques have a small circle access port in the floor to adjust the shaft where packing is located. I have an 84 that does not have this. Could anyone tell me where to get this access port to put into my boat? Thanks.

Jamie,
They stopped using the access ports when they found it easier to access the prop shaft packing by just removing the center section of floor aft of the engine.

If you still want one, any marine supply will have them. Here's one:

Adjusting the nut can be done through the port but is a PITA, they make it nice to be able to check the packing for the drip rate.
I used this one for a different project as it makes it easy to open with the lock handle.

I am not sure I would advocate adding one as they are not much use other than a quick visual inspection. I think this is what Pete is saying, as they certainly hadn’t eliminated them by ‘84. I’m fairly certain they were still utilized 25 years later and may still be.
