The single axle trailer under my 1998 Air is rusting into oblivion and I have procured a used tandem trailer that I will modify to fit the Air.  I need to establish where the stern of the boat should be located relative to axles in order to get the tongue weight at about 10%.  The trailer I will modify is now configured for a deep V boat so I will add some length to the frame rails behind the axles and build a new rear cross frame with the appropriate clearance for the prop and rudder.  It is possible that some lengthening of the frame rails forward of the axles will also be necessary but remains to be seen.
