1997 Ski Nautique

The engine turns over and will start if throttle is juiced a little bit. Once I pull back the throttle to idle, the boat dies. Kill switch circuit was just replaced.

Any other suggestions or ideas on the issue? Please reply and I'll answer any questions!

Thanks everyone!

Will the engine stay running in neutral at say 1500 RPM and only stall if you lower the speed?

If that's the case, and it's injected, as a start, I'd probably look at the ISC/BPA solenoid Translated, that would be the idle speed control/bypass air solenoid. It controls the idle through a signal from the ECM when the butterfly valve in the throttle body is closed. It bypasses air around the butterfly valve to give the engine air to run on at idle.

Above idle, the air is coming in through the butterfly valve in the throttle body

You can read about it in the GT40 manual in the reference section

Since you're doing the CCF/PN shotgun approach, I see over there that it has a carburetor so you can forget the above stuff and if you post back here again, it should be relatively easy to solve your issue

More info would help too.

Was it running good and just developed the issue?

Same question as before, will it run at 1500 rpm in neutral without stalling? Smooth or kinda ragged?

Is there excess gas spilling down the primaries or secondaries while it's running?

After it stalls, is there gas spilling down the primaries or secondaries?

So many questions Wink
