I’m a longtime correct craft/Nautique guy. I’ve owned 8 of them over the last 20 years. I just came across a 1958 correct craft collegian. It’s all original, has the big block v8 and has a bunch of extra parts with it. It needs refinished which I understand can be pretty costly.

I really know nothing about wooden boats or the value of something like this one in its current condition or in a restored condition. While I usually wouldn’t be a “what is it worth” poster, does anyone know? Anyone know anything about this model year or boat? Anything specifically to look for? Any info is appreciated.

Jeremy,
I suggest an extensive examination to determine if it needs more than just a refinish. Wood boat restoration can get very extensive especially since there are times when damage such as rot and broken frames are hidden. Pictures may help so see if you can post some or email them to me. My email is listed in my profile.

Regarding value, if you have someone restore this for you, you will not come out ahead. If you do the work yourself, then it will be a "labor of love".
