Edit: order window has now closed.

Putting feelers out to see if there is any additional interest in a run of double pinstripe tape that was used on the ‘85-92 boats. Nautiqueparts carries black and red already, I am having a few rolls of dark gray made.

This would be a custom run as 1/2”, 1/4”, 1/4” tape CC used is not readily available anywhere. In terms of material, I have found a vendor that can cut a high quality, cast vinyl. Color is “dark gray”, and will provide a good contrast against the accent colors typically paired (red, blue, teal, burgundy, etc), even on a warm gray hull (it isn’t too light in color).

Cost is looking to be $85-140 per 150’ roll, depending on quantity. Any interest, please post here or email me: TRBenj@gmail.com

Thanks!

Pic for reference:

Posted to the classic CC fb page and seem to have enough interest to move forward at the $115/roll price point. Please let me know if there is any further interest, looking to finalize the order in the next few days. Thanks!

Order is placed, the window has closed.

Now this is getting entertaining.

I may have to make some popcorn.

Light on the butter though, it makes my hands kinda icky.  Wink

If you like it that’s your perogative but it’s the only one I’ve seen (85 tri-stripe interior or otherwise)… pretty certain a PO put those pins on.

Nope everything was original when I bought it I can guarantee you that. I have seen a few like it over the years, in fact one was listed on here several years back and it had a 454 in it.

The PO did nothing to this boat, marina dropped it at the dock in the spring, come winter, picked it up winterized it and stored it in a dry stack warehouse. PO didn't even buy a trailer for it.

Christines even had the colors and patterns for the seat bottoms that I replaced in it.

Oh I’m definitely not doubting the interior being original, that tri-stripe was common for ‘85. Just not buying that the factory did the bicolor pin. Maybe it was dealer installed? Definitely not a standard offering from the factory. Would have been double red.

My eyes are a little clouded over this morning so Hollywood's pictures weren't too clear, but I randomly looked at an ad for a 1985 2001 and posted a link to it.

I can't really decide if those 2 pinstripes are both Red or do they match gun-drivers red and black scheme? Wink

One of the pictures from the link

There might be some others lurking out there too.

Here's one that looks an awful lot like gun-drivers boat as far as the color scheme Wink

If there’s one thing this site taught me it’s never say “that’s not factory.”

You need to learn the finer points of searching.

It took about 2 minutes out of my life

A google search for "85 Ski Nautique" and then click on images and do a little looking at the ads and pictures

It's so simple a caveman can do it

I got tired of eating popcorn and getting icky fingers while you two bickered back and forth

By the way..........you're welcome.Wink

I have had 2 gray on gray 85 2001’s, one since new. Both had solid red pinstripes. I have never seen a split cover stripe and I have seen a lot of these boats over the years.

Guess you can’t say never anymore, now that you’ve seen pictures of two.

Wow maybe mine is one of just two made!!! Maybe it was a Cypress Garden Special decal kit LOLLOL
