I just bought a 1958 Correct Craft Collegian 18’ woody. Apparently, it has the original gray marine engine. Is this worth keeping? Should I just replace the engine with a newer one. I can’t seem to find a mechanic that will even touch this engine. Any thoughts? ------------- NAUTIQUES ONLY! |

Jeremy, I suggest keeping the 327 Gray. Does it run? If not, tell us more. It is worth keeping. Problems with a mechanic? Welcome. Yes sure would be great if you could pursue every option to keep that 58 engine. Would make boat more desirable to collect and show off. Consider it a challenging hobby to find parts and restore |
