I was fortunate enough to spend a few days at La Ropa beach in Zihuat last week. Checked in at dark woke up the next morning to find a 1989 Ski Nautique moored about 50 yards out in the bay. Grey hull with Teal gel. Looked ok from where I was sitting so i swam out for closer inspection. What i saw was quite surprising! Only ne seat was somewhat intact but not for the driver-he sat on a pail with a make shift cushion. The gas tank was gone so a 5 gallon jug with a hose for supply sat near the port side of the motor cover-which itself was just a pile of fiberglass with numerous cracks and holes. The swim platform had about three boards remaining. Only thing left on the dash was the key switch and a very loose helm. Windshield was there but sketchy. The floor was soft everywhere. I did ask for a ride and Umberto was thrilled! I even drove for a bit! It was the absolute worst kept boat I have ever seen that was still working. Pulled para sails, tubes, and water weenies all day! I have photos I would email to anyone if someone wants to upload them. I never saw it the next three days but there were 3 more late 80's CC's that were in better shape and were busy pulling water sports. Here are some of Bill's pictures showing some of what he described. I really don't see what he's talking about other than it seems like the driver's seat is a little on the tall side but it sure is bringing a smile to his face .    Here's another one, I think I found the driver's seat  |

| Could use an interior I suppose. Removing the gas tank and running the can frees up some space, while putting the weight where it should be ;-) |
