I've had some bottles of transmission fluid sitting on the shelf for I dont know how many years.  Does this stuff have a shelf life and might no longer be good, or should it be fine to go ahead and use?

Unopened…good for many years.  Oxygen and contaminants are the problem.  If there are any constituents with a high vapor pressure, the sealed bottle should prevent volatiles from evaporating.
