This stereo stuff is rather new to me - only had 2 boats with factory tunes. Long ago.....
Anyway, looking for a recommendation for an original '94 Clarion replacement. Don't need to provide sound to the neighborhood, just some cruising tunes. Dare to dream...anything plug and play? Not that I can't do wiring-just lazy. Thanks

I replaced the OEM factory unit in my 1994 SNOB with a Sony marine unit. Sony had USB, CD, radio, Bluetooth, etc.  It worked fine, as I didn’t want 120 db tunes.

Thanks JQ-found similar (maybe same) Sony unit for $149/Amazon. 4 new Sony marine speakers and good to go. Popped off the coaming pads to make it all easier, and do a little clean-up of this old, neglected college boat.

Brian, I just the same thing in the 99' SN I added in Dec. Had a clarion 6 disc CD changer which was nice but no Bluetooth connection. I still have a massive CD collection but the days of hauling around a CD wallet are long gone. I went with a Sony marine grade radio from Cabelas for $100. I've got its older brother in 88'SN and have been very happy with it. I don't need to blast the the lake with my tunes, however..... I've been known to entertain our cove with music when at the dock. Wife and kids do like to the ability to play their brand because face it...Dad isn't hip enough listening to Chesney and Buffet when Chilling the the Cove.
