1979 SN is 17' correct? I have not removed the old one yet and the searches I did suggest but do not 100% state seventeen feet.
Thank you.

Hey John as an aside and handy tidbit and FYI: When you  buy a Bit T helm it comes with nothing but a helm in a box. No woodruff key or axle nut and washer. No little counter sunk bezel screws and certainly no bezel, that thing is another $130. So be warned: Don't throw that stuff away when you take it apart or you may wind up dumpster diving... or worse.
