Do any of you gents have a chart showing the proper size drill bits for pilot holes in fiberglass for screws sizes #6 #8 #10 and #12.

Sorry I don't have a chart.  Being honest, I hold bits up to the screws and guess, erring on the small bit size.  Then I drill a hole in waste material to check.  I know I should care about the correct size but this seems to work.

I do the same as to hold the drill bit up to the screw and make sure only the threads are visible. Fiberglass does not have much forgiveness when you under size the hole and put a screw in. Too much of a turn will twist off the screw head. Even if its stainless steel.

I used my tried-and-true pilot hole guide for wood, but it’s tough going.  I’m afraid to snap a SS screw…
