Hi All,

As above, I just picked up this project boat that has been sitting under cover for a while.  It's been through several PO's, all of who lost interest.  As she sits, the seats are out and the interior is decent.  The stringers are good, so I'm going ahead.  The 351w was overheated 2 PO's ago and sold with a bad engine.  The last PO bought a zero hour short block (not sure from where yet, title and paperwork inhand soon).  It might have GT-40 heads, but I'll confirm w/paperwork.  I have all the bolt-on parts and all look good . I'm replacing all impellers, seals, water pump, thermostat, etc...anything that might have contributed to the overheat.

So...
  • How do I know what the rotation of the new engine is, and was the original RH?  I might be picking it up tonight.
  • Is there a another place for the serial number?  The transom was repainted and hard to read.
  • Why do models of the same year have split or solid windshields?  I have split, with no vents.
  • Looking for a decent wrap around rear seat, all parts.  Other posts here for that.
