1988 - 2001 model . Replacing steering cable. Just curious from someone who has experience. Easier or more trouble free snaking new cable bow to stern or stern to bow. Going to connect new cable to old cable before pulling through. Does it matter which direction ?  Any tips ?

Feels like I am hanging 10 but in reality - probably hanging 6.

For rotary cables like yours, connect a rope at the front and pull out the back- then use the rope to pull the new from back to front. Would recommend lots of duct tape. Be patient, there are several other things in the same conduit- will take some coaxing.

Rack cables are harder, the more easily fed end is the large inflexible ram at the rear, so the process is reversed.

Sounds like a plan. Wasn't sure if there was other objects in the way. Thanx !!
