Hello guys, I just updated my diaries info from about 7 years ago and it said it may be 3 days to update. I’m sorry.

Can anyone provide me a diagram for wiring my 1975 correct craft skier with the 307/225 OMC ENGINE option? I think I need to rewire my boat because I didn’t do it right years ago. Any wiring sources would help. Thanks

Are you looking for the boat side wiring or the engine side wiring diagrams?

You won't find a good diagram for either here on CCF for your boat/engine combination.

Looking at your old posts, there had been a diagram of a PCM/Waukesha Ford posted that "ain't exactly right" for your Chevy Wink

You could change the title of this thread to "OMC wiring diagram needed" by editing your first post above and maybe get more input, or.............send a PM to "swilliams" telling him that your engine model is 990311R and asking if he has a diagram for that engine in whatever info he has for OMC from that time period.

What do you think you have wrong with the wiring you did previously?

First, thank you for replying. It means a lot you took the time to answer.

I “rewired” my boat years ago when I did my stringer replacement project. I did not know about wiring and the different sizes for different applications. Also, I thought a wire is a wire so I may foolishly use three colors and gauges of wire for one connection to save money. I found out that is very dangerous.

The problem now is I have basicss as on not used my boat in two summers due to it dying on me after launching it. Without going into more detail, things are getting hot and the boat may start but dies when put in gear. I’m 99% sure it’s wiring so I thought I would tag everything, pull all wires from the front s as d all wires off the engine and start over.

If you don't come up with a diagram, I figure you can get some help here om CCF with wire sizes, a general diagram for a Chevy of that vintage and any issues you might run into.

Thank you KENO. I feel it’s an accident waiting to happen if I don’t figure this out plus I get so very tired of wanting to ride in the boat but not knowing if I’m going to make it back to the dock.

Probably should have electrician or auto electric person check your work when done.

About the electrician, I totally agree. I have a good friend who is helping me. I may have just been lucky so far. If I could get this issue fixed, it runs like the day it was made.

Would you believe I still run all the original hoses on the engine from 1975? True story. Goodyear Wingfoot made good stuff
