Wasn't quite sure where to post, but looking for a 'period correct' lining for motor box. Something similar to what might have been used in min-60's.

The subject is '64 Dunphy X55. For all I know originally there wasn't anything lining the motor box at all.  I've made a duplicate of the original box from coosa, lighter and therefore much easier for me to lift out, etc. But the bare coosa looks 'wrong' when open.

Anyway any ideas? Thx.

Believe they make a wood film meant to be impregnated with resin. Believe that’s what was used on the dash of the 82-84 Nautiques. BJ used it on his “Barefoot Unique”.

Thanks Tim, that sounds like a possibility...I've also seen a 10ml 'wood look' veneer...not sure about this, so

still like to know what might have been used in 60's ?
