I have an ‘07 236 and just installed Max Gills NSS retrofit. While I had the dash apart I thought I’d freshen it up with some dupli color vinyl paint since it was fading bad. As you may know the 2007 models have the 4-piece dash which is attached with a mix of a few bolts and mostly Velcro. In any case, the paint didn’t work and cracked really bad when the dash pieces bent. I don’t want to put them back on since they look like crap, so I’m going to update to the 2009/10 single pod style.

Can anyone provide any insight on how the 2009+ vdrive dash pods are attached to the fiberglass helm base? Do they use the Christmas tree fastener type? I tried to search but couldn’t find anything and am trying to plan my attack since I don’t want this project to take a week once the parts get here.

Thanks for any insight!

Kyle
