There is a "SYSTEMS ALARM" box behind the dash on my 1985 Ski Nautique.

Many, many, MANY years ago, the one on the boat failed. Dad was too cheap to replace it...

NO horn for volts, over temp, low oil pressure or any other function contained within this box.

Does anyone out there in CCF land have a spare?

OR know how to get ahold of a new one? (I know it is a long shot on the new one, so go ahead and give me a few laughs...I'm laughing as I'm typing this...1985 was just about 40 years ago by my math...)

The name on the box is Control Engineering in Merritt Island, Florida. I've googled this info with no results...

HELP!!!

Thanks!!

Brian, I have an '87 2001 SN that I have parted out, but I will check and see if I can find the control box you described. I sold the dash assembly and there's just a jumble of wires there now. The weather is turning really cold in Nashville for the next 4-5 days and I'll have to wait to uncover the tarp I've got over the boat. I'll snap a picture of anything I can find that matches your Conrol Engineering box description.

Thank you for the reply. I've added a pic of the control box. Based on what I remember, it is located in the middle of the dash ( under the mirror on the drop down skirt for the dash) not actually in the dash pod.
I understand exactly how cold it is outside. We here in Illinois are experiencing the same WONDERFUL winter weather. Just wanted to get the search started for one of these before the weather gets to boating season.
There will be all kinds of PM's done on the boat before it hits the water in the spring.
Planning on rebuilding the raw water pump and replacing the snap breakers for the blower, lights, and bilge pump. Might even replace the hoses in the cooling system...

I love my wife, but, OHHHHHH...that boat!!!

BOAT: Definition-An open hole in the water into which you throw money.

Thanks again!!!!

Nautique Parts sells a generic audible alarm for low oil pressure / high temperature:

These devices have been around a long time.  Some have lights and audible alarm.  Some have one or the other.  Blue Sea Systems sells an audible alarm that fits into a 1" hole in the dash.  It's called Floyd Bell Turbo Series Alarm.  Aqualalrm also makes a good option:

Thanks for the info.
Troubleshooting on this will have to wait until the spring. Not sure if it is the horn, the box, or both which are not functioning properly. I'll have to wait for the weather to warm up around here before I dig into it...
Illinois is not very warn this time of year!!
