No, the wheel should be on the driver's side.

Atleast lower the cradle.

Should have left the boat on the lift to help stabilize it.

They need atleast 2 maybe 3 bungee cords to secure it.

I see the FOR SALE sign right on the wheel- did you pick that up for the 90?

No, this lift will go under our former '92. Dad is getting a newer lift with a canopy though- so Im hoping the old one doesnt go too far!

This isnt exactly what we had in mind when the seller said he had a way to transport the lift. I helped put it on the truck but I take no responsibility for this idea! It did make the 5 mile trip safely though.

TRBenj, i dont see anything wrong with the method that was used to transport said lift, proper tie dows, even loading for and aft,and think you were legal for the 8 foot limit on width,Good Job. But i do have one question,is the water at low tide,or has the canal not been dug yet?
we put our lifts directly in the water, just a thought............boat dr

I dont think it had any bungees. I did hear someone say, "If you cant tie a knot, tie a lot."

I have to applaud the determination applied to this move. If we learn nothing else, a group of guys that want something done can usually figure out a way to do it. (Even if they don't have the right equipment.)   Nice job TRBenj!

Out of curiousity, how much does a lift like that weigh? Most of the lifts around us are the of Doozie type (overhead).

Hey, that's how we do it down here..When you gonna put the truck on blocks so you can return the wheels?

(make sure the windows in the truck are nice and tight before you drive it into the water)

Once you buy a boat lift, and set it in place, trust me, you never want to move it....except for taking it out of the water in the fall.
