I got for Christmas a gizmo that allows me to transfer old video tapes into digital computer videos. Should be fun...especially on here. Just to try it out, I dug out some old barefooting clips. Better, because this time its my old videos and not some yahoos on Youtube, although I must admit the yahoos on Youtube are a lot better than me

Hope you all are having/had a wonderful Christmas. (Oh, and Santa also brought me my ensign flag for the Tique light pole)

That is so awesome I can hardly believe it. MUCH better than some guys on youwhatever that we don't know. Loved the jumpout. In Ohio we used to call them "grave-jumps" because if ya missed...it was like jumpin' in your grave. Sure fire way to impress your friends and neighbors....Start on the far side of the bay, head for the dock and jump out of your ski as your driver swung ya wide on the turn to miss the dock. Man those were the days. Thanks Larry!

We call those "bomb outs". I try to emphasize sitting down more but my guys keep jumping 1' off the water and I'm sure you can figure out where it goes from there.
Nice clip, I love watching barefooting videos, pros and wallys.

Larry,
I look forward to lessons from you in the spring. I want to make '07 the year of footn'. By the way, what's the name of the gizmo that you got that transfers VHS to the computer? I have a barefooting tape I'd like to transfer over. Keep your tapes coming! They're pretty amazing.

Ken, it's a simple converter
Take your tape, stick it in your VCR. Run some RCAs or S-video (does audio as well) into the converter from the output of the VCR. Converter plugs in computer via USB. You digitally record while the tape plays. I have one, it's old and cheap but does the job.

Thanks, Kevin. I have some 1992 skiing, trick skiing and footn' vids I want to convert to a computer file. It would be cool to see what other great videos are out there. Send them in!
