Happy Birthday jbear! I don't post much but check this place out everyday (when possible). You, BKH, and a few others seem to be the "elders"; voices of reason around here. Always a pleasure to hear your views and advice. I too am an elder (probably more "elder" than you!)...51 this year.
Have a good one!

John,

We'll just let him go ahead and think that. After all, you are only as old as you foot.

His age/hair color (not the amount, he doesn't look like he's lost any I seat) may make him an elder, but he sure doesn't act like it. I'm pretty sure Patti is taking him skydiving soon. Can't wait to take that double run at Norris this summer!

Jbear,

Happy BD, I hope you and Mrs. Jbear get out on the town tonight.

Reid, that was a masterful BD card. Your dogs are awesome and they do a pretty good job of coloring , judging by the pictures on the wall.

Jbear, are you going to get a perm or anything special for today?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JBEAR

Well...here it is....8:30pm in Central Florida and I just went on the site for the evening. Checked out General Discussion first and then I scroll thru quickly to see who is and and has been posting most recently. Then I back up and go thru slower to see what is being posted. Imagine my surprise when I saw a thread titled "the jbear", uh-oh I thought 'cause it was started by Hollywood, who has been on PLBC hard lately and I thought it might be my turn. But no, it was Kevin showing his thoughtful side. Actually Kevin had already called, when BKH was visiting up in Chi town to give me b-day greetings, he was just a little early. But Kevin, you got it right today. Thanks for starting this altho I am a bit embarresed by it all.

I thank each and every one of you guys who posted here. I think you all know how I feel about the guys and Gurl here. Being a part of our little group here sure has been fun. I've been lucky enough to meet a few of you guys in person and hope to meet more. This place has added lots to my life as far as knowledge and of course, new friends. I wish I could comment on every post but that might overload the thread.

Special thanks to Keith tho. Without your idea and hard work none of this would be possible. You have created something that so many people get so much out of. Don't know what I'd be doing in the evenings without this place. I do know that mrs jbear would be able to get on her computer more.

Enough already...someone is gonna accuse me of gettin' to mushy.

I will admit to being 56 years young. Heres to more footin', cold ones and C/CFAN!

87; Must be the correct type of bait that you put in the net to get a catch like that.

Awww, I missed it!
Happy belated B-Day JBear!
My Sig on another site:
"Yes, I am a pirate two hundred years too late - I'm an over forty victim of fate!"
But, with another b-day next week, I'm rolling closer to that "over fifty victim of fate" too.
I feel blessed to be able to still be playing Hockey & hanging around CC's. Only as old as you feel (or act ).
Hope ya had fun.
If I ever roll the RV down your way, we'll have to meet up.
And, of course, if you're ever up to the Northeast, I'm sure it would be reason for a party!

Mike: 70's, sunny here today. Shout across your lake and ask JEFF how it is down here. We skied together during his and Laurie's visit in November.

Dan: Scott's visit was super. Except when he told me how old he is now. And I know you are a little older. But Like Nauti says 'you are only as old as you feel or act", so I am doin' ok on both accounts.

Again: Thanks to all the great people on here who took the time to post here. What a bunch!

Happy belated B-day. I had a Beam and Coke for you at the campfire Saturday night. How long does it take to get used to that stuff? Had to shoot it to finish it off and then chase with a frosty miller lite. Didnt pour a second one. Sunday took a barefoot run in your honor!! Cheers!

Posted By: jbear
Date Posted: January-30-2007 at 11:39pm
Darrel; My personal favorite way is to mix the Beam with Diet Coke with Lime. Heavy on the Beam, lite on the coke and ice.

Miller Lite or Mich Ultra is my drink on the boat out of the cooler. After skiing of course and only one or two if I am still away from the dock.

Kudos on the Barefoot run. I ain't had one lately and i am kinda needing one.

It's been a few months since his birthday, but I wanted to share a few pics from our 2 visits this winter. Thanks again John & Patti, if anyone gets a chance to atleast meet up for a photo op or dinner I highly recommend it. These are from February.

Showin' off the ladies.

Eddie's rig. Thanks again Eddie that boat runs and looks awesome!

Talking about the water. There was a little chop as you will see in later pictures, we drove to 3 different lakes and settled back on the first one. These guys are spoiled!

The crowded ramp.

One of jbear's friends from the West Shore Water Ski Club back in Ohio.

Carolyn skiing RFF, a first, and necessary for the ballet line.

HW & backfoot100. I biffed the first attempt because I barrel rolled off the wake and Eddie skied the length of the lake leaving me with the gators. I deserved it.

John jumped out and we tried flanking Eddie backwards in the middle but we just couldn't quite get out of his way. We'll get it next year. What isn't in pictures is on video, including most of John and I skiing.

Couple of guys I ran into at Old Town.

Although currently Florida residents, they are native Midwesterners!

Thanks for the post HW....made me remember what a great time we had.

We did do a triple deep with us all forward but couldn't quite pull it off with Eddie bacerds between us. Next year.

First pic was at the famous Cherry Pockets that we have shared with a few of you guys. A local favorite hangout. Gotta see it to believe it. The rough lookin' guys (lol) in the PLBC shirts were from Olde Towne. Quess there was no pictures from the go-kart track. HW tried to get us tossed out with his driving skills. What a blast.

Always a great time with Eddie and JoAnne. We love having guests. There might be some more interesting pictures showing up soon. Stay tuned.

We are smack in the middle of the state Rob. Between Tampa and Orlando. You better save some time to see us. We'll try to show you and the wife a good time.

CQ: I was trying to go easy on him. Last visit we did a little to much Beam in the evening. Altho we still did justice to the better part of a bottle. Carolyn made us go to bed early so we could ski. When can I mark you and Maddie on the calender?
