Does anyone recall who built/converted the 351 and called it a "commander 300" These were used in the early to mid 80's CC.
I am trying to find a source for molded engine cooling hoses and am coming up blank.
Thanks dave

My boat has a commander in it and none of my hoses are molded. Which ones do you need? intake - exhaust?

The Molded hose that goes between the recirc. pump and up to the thermostat housing. Its shaped like a U and fits between the alternator. I wonder If I dont have a stock configuration. dave

I believe Commander is the company that did the conversion. As far as the hose goes, I would give SkiDIM a call. I dont see what youre looking for on their site, but they do have a selection of http://skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1138 - molded hose. If they dont have what you need, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

I have a commander 300 in my 85. It seems it was less common that the pcm because I have a harder time finding parts listed on skidim website and other places as well. Those commander headers look cool though.

That is just regular 1-7/8" wire reinforced hose. It will make the bend. I have been running mine for a season with no problems....

Hello, first post here,
If i were You I'd stay away from the "Commander" manifolds, those were made of titanium to eliminate weight, but problem with those is that they rust too much from the inside and end up leaking water inside the engine.
hope my advise helps,
good luck
