Pete, well done on snagging a room at the Bayview. When I tried to book a room 11 weeks ago, both the Bayview and Lake Side were full.
Im at the campground.

312, I'm still trying to figure out how to use the quote thing too! I always end up with the whole post and not just the sentence or paragraph I want!!
I also have a problem with links. Someone told me that should just use the Hyperlink icon and follow the directions. Well I evidently can't follow directions since I can't get that thing to work ether!
I'm looking foward to seeing your 312. I hope we get a chance to talk some at Green Lake.

Pete has at least the hard part of the quote thing down.
If you want to quote a post simply hit the
quote
button found in the upper right hand corner of any post. It will automatically start a reply to the thread, copy all the text from the message that you hit the quote button on and add tags at the beginning and the end that look like
QUOTE=8122pbrainard surrounded by [] at the beginning and
/QUOTE surrounded by [] at the end
At that point it is the whole message, if you just want a part of the message delete from in between those tags the text that you want removed leaving only what you want quoted. Now you should never add text and never delete text in a manner that would obscure the meaning of the original poster.. that would be bad netiquette. For example
8122pbrainard wrote:
312, something pete would never say
|
Its obvious Pete would never say this and is cringing that anyone could possibly attribute it to him, I will in fact edit it later after the point that you shouldnt believe everything you see quoted is made..
You can avoid all the deleteing by just using the above tags without the quotes and copying just what you want to quote between them
8122pbrainard wrote:

Now for links the hit the button and follow the direction thing is pretty much right. Once you hit the button you will get a little window that pops up and says
"enter on screen display text for hyperlink"
In that box you type whatever text it is you want to show up in blue in the post for the person to click on.
Once you do that and hit OK then it will ask you to "enter the URL address to create hyperlink to" that is where you type in or paste the web address of the page you want them to be taken to after they click on the text highlighted in blue. The only trick there is that if you copy the address from your browser you will have to make sure it doesnt say http::\ twice at the front of the address or it won't work.
This is probably all as clear as mudd now but give it a try and use the preview post button at the bottom of the posting box to see if it works before you post it...

I guess math probably isn't one on the highest priorities down on the bayou, as I counted at least 9 parties signed up for Hattie's place. But not to worry Doc, as in those 9 or so parties are somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 boats and 30+/- guests so it should be quite the party. But I was planning on eating out! OK, maybe we'll get the grill out for a big old Carolina BBQ. (Blondie, bring your own chicken- as just like the races, we're cookin juicy pig here) We're right on the corner in Lot 27. So definitely stop by as there may be a party goin on.

Just as a side note guys, The Marina Grill has openned it's doors again this summer. This is the dockside eating and drinking establishment at the main ramp/park where we were last year (except it was closed).. So there are plenty of places to eat when you get into town..
Looking forward to it !!! Anyone that has any issues, problems etc feel free to call my cell as you're making your way into town..
