OK!! I NEGLECTED MY BOAT A LITTLE LAST YEAR AND DID NOT KEEP A COVER ON IT LIKE I SHOULD. MY GELCOAT REALLY REALLY GOT DULL. HOW DO I GET THE SHINE BACK.

Buff it with a high speed buffer and some good rubbing compound on a wool pad. Follow with a finishing glaze on a medium foam pad. Then follow with a good quality wax with UV protection. I was told the UV protection is iportent for gel coat since their is no clear coat like todays car paint.


BTW, Please turn the caps lock off on your keyboard. ALL CAPS IS REALLY ANNOYING TO READ AND IS COMPARABLE TO YELLING.

I recommend you use a liquid buffing compound. It works with a chemical reaction. When the coarseness leaves it is done.
