But which is the right NGK plug for my 1988 351w engine? As beeing equipped with fresh water cooling the engine is running a little hotter compared to a standard engine. Is that relevant? Can you get Motorcraft (same thing)? NGK are great for Honda & my Seadoo. Hence, nobody would import Autolites or Motolites. I could order them directly from the US, but this makes no sense, if NGKs are at least equally good. River Rat to Mole Posted By: 79nautique Date Posted: April-10-2007 at 9:21am one thing you can't change in a spark plug is the internal resistance and that makes all of the difference, might work fine for a short period but over the long haul they never last. NGK's are not concidered very good in the US for automotive applications in US designed motors. NGK is one of the best mfg.of spark plugs on the market. They use a truer porcelin insulator to pull heat away from the electrode and use a better coating on the threads to help prevent rust.
