In case you have some extra time on your hands and want to read a short story about a lot of outboards on a boat (from Snopes.com Urban Legand website)....

How many gallons of gas does it need to carry?

Chris,
I don't think that's photoshopped, and if so they did a good job with the shadows on the water. The hard-bottom hull is a vee and needed those outside engines raised. The link shows the first shots I've seen of it actually out of the water.

79 , This was confirmed true by snopes.com. if you look at the bottom of the page they site their sources. you could check them out yourself if you wanted to.
I thought the side motors were mounted higher on the sides at first look too. if you look a little closer, the motors on the ends are larger, but the props are all a the same level.

Actually, it looks like all the motors are the same size (250) and height. The hull looks to have a step down from outside to the center so the motors can be higher on the outsides and still mounted to the transom (which I'm sure is very strong).

The ones in the middle are definitely too low, way to much rooster tail. Someone who knew what they were doing with some jack plates, lower unit work, and surface piercing props should have been able to get it to go faster without the 4 motors on the ends.
