I purchased a fuel/water seperator (FWS) for my 77 Martinique (351W). I am looking for suggestions on where to mount the filter. I will eliminate the inline filter at the tank and my thoughts are to mount the FWS on a custom bracket mounted to the engine. This way, I do not have to penetrate my stringer which would be another potential water entry point.

I have not read the instruction that came with the FWS at this time, but I assume it is mounted ahead of the fuel pump (i.e. suction side).

I made bracket last night for the fuel/water seperator. The bracket is a simple "L" shape that bolts to the front left (port) side of the engine just infront of the fuel pump. There are two unused bolt holes in the block and the seperator sits just in front of the fuel pump for easy plumbing and great clearance. I will take pictures once complete if anyone is interested.
