Does anyone know the engine specs on Mustangs these days? Is the Cobra a supercharged 351 or 302? Cheap money for a quarter mile rocket ship.

I see no car in the picture, but if you're talking about the 03-04 cobras they are 281's 4.6L. I believe the newer shelby cobra's with 500hp have the 5.8L 351, same motor as the GT.

Don't know but I see it's got double pumpers on it. Probably pretty built top end too, any pics from the passenger seat?

Gee, I wish it was real but it's a kit made by Unique Motorcars. Took about 600 hours to complete but that was taking my time.

Nice, what kind of powerplant/drivetrain? My friend is Stormin Norman's son and he's got a kit car cobra with a 351 and nitrous, runs 10.80's on motor. This is when we ran at pinks all out down here.

It's nothing radical but it has a 406/430HP from Southern Automotive. Drivetrain is a Jag IRS with 3.31's and a 4 spd. wide ratio top loader.
Your friend sure is hooked up with those times!

I've never had it on the scales but I would say give or take, about 2500 lbs. without me in the car.

The TV show Pinks is like crack to me.

I saw that Cobra briefly on the show. I was bummed it did not make the final selection.

Charlie, nice car. You just need to upgrade the model.

10.75 - Nice.

I don't recall seeing that race but my memory is crap. 79 is probably right.

That is cool as hell that you guys were part of that show.

Yea, that was the first time I put the car on nitrous. My second run on spray I went 10.57, which was a little too fast for the category they picked. They picked cars that were 10.9-11.1. Definately an awesome experience, I spent the two days before the race putting a new mainshaft in my transmission and new slider keys. I was just happy I had it running for the race.
