Does anyone know were to get the metal ring that goes around the wooden battery lid? I cut & capeted a new lid but the ring is broken. Thanks, Dan.

Have you tried Correct Craft? Most of the time, CC does not use proprietary parts, but merely use commercially available marine components and trim. Therefore, you might look through some marine catalogs and see if you can find the correct item and cut/bend to suit. Sometimes the pieces come from non-marine sources like truck manufacturers, RV manufacturers, etc.

Dans, This is a Taco metals standard aluminum profile used for hatch covers. Taco also fabricates so CC may have had them make the battery cover. I sure they won't make only one piece though.

Have you thought about having yours welded, ground and polished? You could take it with you to the fab shop along with your trailer fender project.
