Thanks quinner for starting this thread. My Dad taught me to ski when I was 10 behind a friends boat on the Huron river. Had twin 45's. We thought it was hot. Really started me on a life long hobby I have loved. Was able to hang and ski with my older brother for years in the West Shore Water Ski Club. Made many great lifelong friends. Had a great time as our son was growing up. And of course it has led me here where I can enjoy all you guys.
Thanks Dad!

Jbear,
My dad first put me in a boat when I was one, a home built 14' woody with a 35 Evenrude. He's 84 now.
We are celebrating Father's Day today, firing the grill up first, then firing up the boat. I'll take my boys wakeboarding and skiing. Dad will watch me pull our boys like he has done countless times for me.
Here is a picture of the two of us taken a couple of weeks ago.

Nice pic Chuck. Thanks for sharing. What my dad would give to be by the lake again. 'Course he is in a better place than us....water is always calm where he is and I bet gas is cheap!
Leaving now to go get an older friend of mine to take him to our Sunday nite's group "Fathers Day Barbeque, gun shooting, 4 wheel ridin' afternoon. Gonna do all the stuff these Polk County guys like to do.
Have a great day tomorrow. Will be special to do the things you have planned. I am jealous!

Mojo: Probably Paul's driver is one of that good looking crew he has around.
Paul: love your Dad's hair. Me and him must be from the same era. Sitting in the boat with a cold one and your son...pricless.
Hope my son thinks I rock.

Paul,
You confirm what many of us had said many times... Boating and good family bonding and strength go hand in hand... My dad passed away shortly after I graduated high school. He put the boating bug into me as a young kid fishing and sking.... You're a lucky guy to have Gramps still around, hair or no hair.. And with the 3rd generation all in the boat at the same time, well it just doesn't get any better now does it??
Ok, post your pics for the "Q-tip" head of the year award hahahahaha.... Winner gets a sheet of petrafied microdots (someone has to have an old page still lyin around taped to the underside of their sock drawer??) hahahaha

Boating has been a huge part of family get togethers.
My dad got us 3 boys(me and my two brothers)into boating when we were about 3 years old. we all three learned to ski by age 6. We learned behind a 80 evinrude outboard and i've been hooked ever since. I bought and rebuilt my first boat at age 17(in/out board)
While riding in my boat i heard a 65 mustang comming around the lake, i stopped and turned my boat off just to listen to it drive by. I stopped the guy and asked what it was..... A Correct Craft!
Never been the same since! My dad has helped me on just about every project i've done.....Kinda cool to do those things with your dad!!

And for some reason I'm betting Mr. Waters senior is one proud papa to this day. Cool kid with a cool boat, what's not to love. Now that's something to be jealous of.
You other queens can keep the hair. I guess you need that for when your sitting in your trailer queen boats. I've opted (with no choice) for the aero look. Makes my boat faster.

Reid, If I ever get the Tique posted in the diaries, You'll see that unlike some, most of my pictures of my boats are in the water and not on the trailer! The one of the Atom was at a ACBS show and I wanted to show the trailer as well.
So, I've only seen one picture of yourself without a cap on. How many extra MPH are you getting without the restrictive cap? GPS of coarse?
