so i replaced the Flax rope and check it 6 or 7 times over the day.. at first i had a drop or 2 every second.. but about 2 hours later i never saw any drops.. but the bilge water never seemed out of control.. after 6 hours or so of riding had 1 inch in the bottom..

while reading on here.. a few people said that the nut should not get hot.. so that was one thing i checked.. it was warm.. not hot.. i could touch it and it stayed that way threw the day.. i was warmer then my skin i could feel the heat off it..but should it be cold... or is warm ok...

warm is fine and your really not going to see it drip unless it is rotating I believe.

In the summer, the engine and transmission heat up that fitting more than the friction. The water temp the other day was 91 Deg F when I checked this out.
