My '90 SN has a loud squeal when accelerating. It doesn't squeal when in neutral. I've been told that it might just be the way that paticular tranny is. I'm a new SN owner, so I'm a little green when it comes to inboards. Is this something I should have checked out?

Raise the engine hood, look for black dust on the front of the engine. This will indicate "belt dust".Cost effective method tighten belts,correct method replace................boat dr
