Tribal,

I hope you get it. I'm trying to sell one for $300 as well, but so far no one has offered $300.

Sorry to hear you are getting out of boating. Good luck.

Used to go out of Star Point with a houseboat rental. We knew the owner at the time till she died of cancer and her nephew took over the resort. He got out of the houseboat rental business. So this year were going out of Wolf River with a houseboat. We usually stay near the Trooper Island area.Been going there for 30 years now,so I kinda know that lake like the palm of my hand.It started as a family vaction with kids to a family drunk fest.Just let me know the final price with shipping and I'll make the final decsion on it.I'll need your address so I can send the check out tomorrow.Like I said depending on shipping let me know.

Rob,I have to apologise and I have to turn the prop down.Unfortunately I now have to go out and buy work boots for myself when my right boot blew out on me at work this afternoon. So the money that was going towards the purchase of your prop I now have to go buy new redwings.Rob I'm not kidding you on this and I am sorry.I really wanted that prop.I am glad though that you have another interested buyer in the prop so please feel free to sell it to that person.I wish I could have one business with you.

Brian, I can appreciate the problem with the Redwings as I do know the cost is close to the cost of a prop. They are the finest and longest lasting work boot available and if you amortize the cost over the years of usage you will find they are a great deal. I too buy Redwing because of their quality but also because they are the only work boot/shoe manufacturer that makes a steel toe in a AA width!

Good call on the Red Wings
We have a precast concrete plant and I'm in my Red Wings 4462 steel toes 10+ hours every day. I buy them at a 30% off store that are common around MI. $137 out the door. Wouldn't buy any other boot.
Kind of like a boat. If you plan on spending time in one, why not buy a proven performer.

The company is Advance Concrete Products.
We do mostly underground structures; utility manholes, water retention tanks, tunnels, small bridges (AdSpan). We do produce small storage buildings. Probably, in the opinion of the guys on this site, are most important product is boat ramp planks.

skicat and tull; Bet I spent some time in your products if you sell up in Ohio. Was a underground cable mtc splicer for OBT. Spent alot of time standing around the top and sitting down below. Sure made alot of money in them 'holes. Small world, huh?

PS to Rob: Why are ya gettin' out of boating...hope all is ok with you. Used to ski at Sandusky Bay with some guys from Toledo...senior moment...can't remember their names but I think they had a club in your area.

If it doesn't sell on Ebay, then you have a deal.

just want to know why anyone lists stuff to sell on here and never gets back to the persons wanting to buy, they would rather go to ebay and pay their high cost of fees and the idiots that come with the territory. if you have something to sell to educated persons, and it is a fair price ,then it will sell, everybody happy!

Posted By: Tribal150

I posted this first on here over 2 weeks ago, I had two people interested in it and both deals fell through, I then put in on Ebay, I had to let the auction go through, so I'm sorry you feel that you got screwed out of it, but I value my perfect feedback on Ebay, and I would never cancel an auction early just because someone contacted me after an auction started.

Just a thought on posting items for sale on the site:

I posted a similar item and had quite a few responses. Every one made an offer and every one was below the price I clearly stated in my post. A few were actually rude. I wonder if those same people negotiate at the grocery store or the gas station, I doubt it.

Now, there is no crime in low-balling. In fact, I was taught to always say "Is that the best you can do?" when faced with a negotiation. And the times I have made low-ball offers, I had cash on hand at that moment and focused solely on price - how I got it home was my problem. So a low-ball offer combined with "you pay shipping and I want you to install it while I have a beer" doesn't work for me as a seller (btw CJ none of this applies to you, or bmiller for that matter).

With regard to posting here and then posting on ebay - every seller has their time frame. I posted my item here and have not posted it on ebay for several reasons. If a year from now a current or future member digs up my post and makes a reasonable offer, we will probably have a deal. If not I, or my grandkids, can always donate the item to some future CorrectCraft museum. That is my time frame.

As always, thank you for your time,

Mike

Sorry, wasn't following this post.
If you were a splicer in Ohio, 99% chance you were in one or more of our manholes. If it was leaking, it wasn't ours. lol   We are in SE MI but ship to OH.
Your right, small world. Where in Ohio are you? We are heading to Grand Rapids, OH, Friday for a barefoot race. Racing from GRap to Nepoleon and back.

Hey CJ,

I wasn't aiming any of that at you. I guess I just wanted to vent as well. Doing deals can be frustrating on both ends at times.

Thanks,

Rob; Sorry to hear you had to sell that cool lookin' boat.

Steve: Me and mrsjbear now live in central Florida. Retired 3 years ago after working outside right next to Lake Erie for 33 years. I was only in leaking manholes fixing cable failures so I am sure none of them were yours. Warm in them holes in the winter and cool in the summer and lots of money in them holes! Working the underground was not for everyone but it was good to me.

You watching or racing? Good luck if it is racing!

We're racing.
I've only done a few races, I'm not that good, but they are a riot. My oldest son can knock off some nice runs. You talk about a niche sport, this takes the cake.
Endurance racing is what lead to me to being on this site. The BFN is such a great boat to knock down the waves I had to have one. The boat I now own showed up at a race here in MI and the guy said the owner (borrowed boat) was selling. He told me the price and I said sold.
Couldn't be happier. Well I could if I was able to put it on the lake I live on, 90hp outboard limit.

Hi John
That was the day I bought the boat. I know it doesn't make sense to buy a boat in the winter, but I had skied behind the boat in Sept and figured not much can change in two months. Bought the fly high for $170 from a neighbor, earmarked for my brother-in-laws Supra (Christmas present). Surprise, fit the Nautique perfectly. Bonus for me, bummer for the brother-in-law. I think he got a sweater.
Boy, was I chompin at the bit for spring.
