Hey Paul, How old is your daughter? Mark has 2 girls and they will be there too!
Nautiquefanatic, what did you have to make a choice between the two?

Sounded that way, but no......I may be picking up a spare/empty CC trailer while in town, so I wouldn't be able to take a boat down and get boat and spare trailer back up to NC.

I am going to sign my posts with PC, instead of Paul....since there is another Paul on the board.

Cannot wait to meet all of the CC Fan group.

MM, I would love to go to this reunion but my wife will not agree to the terms of the trip. I told her we could go to Florida but I get to bring a boat home with me, she said no. I will keep working on this, there are a couple down there I would really like to have.

Mark; Just got my sign-up in the mail Patti got from the post office today. Made it right out so we can get it back in. We gotta come up with a place to meet just outside the gates so all CC/FAN'ers can ride in and park together. At the very least Patti and I want to be sure to go in with you and Lisa.

That lake is Lake Pineloch right around the corner from Conway. I have lived here in Orlando my whole life and we are usually on Conway for the Sandbar although i have not been lately because of the canal. I did hear it was back up so no more pushing thru. Hope to see ya there.

Don't know about that Chris. But if you want to come here the night before we will go out to eat, maybe with Eddie and JoAnne and get warmed up. Then we'll all leave out from here in the AM. That way you won't have to travel so far.

PS to Paul; Thought I was gonna make it out there this month to go to a Royals-Tribe game but I gotta go to Ohio that weekend. I do need to get back out there again to see Chuck and meet you. Wanna see that beautiful boat and crew of yours in person.

Planning on heading down from NC with my family and my brother and his daughter. We went last year in May and pulled the 1970 Green Mustang with us. We stayed 5 days and went water skiing and wakeboarding at Lake Conway (recommended by Theressa at SECC). Had a great time. The lake was great. Went on a Monday. Only 1-2 other boats on the lake that day. It was great. We are not going to pull the boat this year. Just coming for a long weekend, and to see all the other great Correct Craft boats and to enjoy SeaWorld.

Madd Marxx,

I can't believe you have a picture of our boat. That is definitely ours. My dad bought this boat in 1971. Been skiing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, tubing ever since. Reid P helped us with the ski pole. We went up on a Sunday and met him and his wife. We felt so welcomed the whole time there. My son loved playing with the dogs. Sorry we will not be bringing the Mustang this year. Everyone tells us we took a big risk pulling it as far as we did. I guess we better count our blessings and come and enjoy visiting and seeing all you guys boats. See you on the 8th.

Got the boat at home. Worked on it after skiing on Saturday. Will put one more evening on it. Don't expect to win anything this year...you got it locked up the way lime looks.

Also detailed the truck as well. Gotta have everything lookin' good.

Footed with Eddie tonite. He and JoAnne are coming...so we will have a great time. Haven't heard back from Keith as to banner or flyers.

I wish I got that earlier & I could have made the trip & let Mickey pay for it. We are doing a new addition to the Contemporary resort at Disney.

Greg/skicat.....forgot to answer one of your questions....one of them was on CL, the other was not. The one that is on there now is plain white, missing the original seats and looks terrible. He is asking $2000 and not worth $500 to me. I am NOT interested in it for the reason of the missing, important pieces.

Well guys...we are back home after an awesome day.

It was great to meet Paul and BJ in person. As with everyone we have meet here...they were great guys. And you all should see hasbeenskier's (BJ Borling) Nautique in person. What a job he did on it! Can't wait to see what he does with his BFN.

Jane ...what a treat it was to meet you and your family in person. Keep that Mustang forever! Hope to see you up in NC someday.

Neither Mark or I won anything for our boats...should have...BJ's was a definate first place boat and then it was a toss-up after that. Mark did win a detail bucket...better save it to use for next year Mark and his bro Keith did win a cool banner. I won a HO Mach 1...unfortunatly I already have one in the attic of the garage. So you'll see it here for sale soon.

A great day was had by all. Thanks to Backfoot and his wife JoAnne for going with us. We seen some shows and just had a great time.

Hope I didn't leave anyone out. Pics will follow as soon as Mark and Lisa get 'em on here.

Dittos on the reunion. It was fun. 111 boats from 1953 to current. 1300+- people. As you would expect every one was very nice. It was a special treat for me to meet the famous Mr & Mrs. jbear. and Mark. It is no wonder to me why people travel from all over the country to hang with the Berrys. Sunglassses were a requirement for the inspection of Mark's "LIME 80". Spending the day with my old friend Paul Carpenter and his trophy girl friend "Tandy" was extra special for me. Turning Paul loose among all those Correct Crafts is like watching a young bird dog on his first hunt. Theresa and SECC did a Fabulous job putting the reunion together. A hat, lunch, a day at Sea World and a ton of CC lover's for $7.00 dollars? Where were ya'll?............bj

Thanks Mark,
The Correct Craft judges must put alot of emphasis on original equipment like carpet, paint and upholstery. In other words restorations must not score as well. Both you and jbear were most complementary of the 81 and that all that matters to me. We as reps. for CCfans did pretty good on the drawings though... don't you think? I am so glad you took some photos for the ccfans to see.

Well we have returned back to NC from the Orlando CC Reunion. What a great trip. It was great seeing soooo many wonderful CC's. It was great getting to meet the JBear and Mrs JBear and Mad Marxx. You guys boats looked great, and I can tell you take well care of them. You both should be proud. It was great getting to meet you guys in person. Thanks for all the compliments for our boat (even though we didn't bring it down with us this year). I wish my dad was still with us, because he would have loved talking with you guys about CC boats. I don't know if you would have made it to the park, because he would have wanted to kept talking. It was great seeing Paul Carpenter there. He is the one responsible for directing us to this website. He even got to talk to the Sides, who were orignally from the same town as Paul. It was a great time had by all. Theresa does a great job in organizing this event, and also with the prizes that are given away. We are grateful the Lord blessed us with meeting terrific people, and giving us traveling mercy as we were on the road. Again thanks to all the people we met, and we will be talking again soon.

Thanks Mark for all the great shots. Actually I think alot of the pics were taken by Lisa (BlondieGurl) and Marks daughter Kailie (I am sure I spelled that wrong)......of course the best pic was of ski Lime and the '80 side by side.

It is easy to be friendly when you get to meet people like BJ and Paul Carpenter. One of the best things about this site has been the people Patti and I have meet here. Starting with 62Woodhead and his wife Pam, ReidP and Laurie, Backfoot and JoAnne, Mark, Lisa and Keith, The PLBC guys and quinner, JEFF KOSTIS, the Lake and all the guys we haven't met yet but talk to like Alan, Mojo, Ken, BKH, Scott, Mike and of course our fearless leader, Keith. What a great bunch.

We spoke with Ralph Meloon...great to see him still getting out amongst us at his age. We got to see old friends Ken Meloon and his wife from Mid-West Correct Craft up in Angola. Greg Meloon did a great job in the rain of handing out all the awards and prizes. And special mention has got to go to Theresa of SouthEast Correct Craft in Orlando for the HUGE amount of work she puts into this so we all have a great time.

Wow...enough of the name-dropping.

Yeah Mike...very observant...I had on last years Green Lake shirt and Patti wore this years. And yes, the Meloons noticed and commented on our site.

My personal favorites? After Lime and the '80 were the Torino that is being restored, the Red and White Classic that was best of show and BJ's beautiful restro job.

What a great time!

You are too kind. It is like I tell my wife...anything is possible, just get out the check book. The man selling the Tique's name was Mick Nicolas. It was amusing to me listening to him hawk that boat. He even started it a few time for prospective buyers. There are two age old questions, (1) How many licks to the chocolate center of a Tootsie Roll Pop? and (2) How many dry starts does an impeller have in it? But I guess he got 'er done! bj

Beautiful boats...sorry we had to miss the event.

What was the newer red boat w/white graphics(jbear in pic) ...and the woody that wasn't painted black? They're all amazing, but those 2 got me.

Thanks for the pics...next best thing.

Hey Greg; That red/white one was a 2000 I think. Reverse graphics. Very cool. I always liked those graphics but I think they were only used one year.

Me and Mark knew you would get a kick outa that Classic Paul. It was awful nice. Sweet motor as well. You should have seen the piture album he had. It was a wreck when he brought it home. I would only ride one a those if it came with a crew like yours. That model does look awesome in red!

Now I am not sure how to take all these classic comments. Am I gettin' old looking or what? I am only a little more "classic' than you Pete. I am from '51 and you are from '52. Of course me and you gotta be a couple of the oldest guys here.

Well, we made it back home last night with the "Sanford & Son" 79 Nautique in tow. No problems on the trip home except my health. Seems I was very sick the whole trip. A trip to the doctor today confirmed that, but nothing some medicine won't cure!!

It was great to hang out with my best buddy BJ in Orlando and see his INCREDIBLE 81 Nautique.   Pictures don't do that boat justice, you must see the attention to detail in person. Very unique restoration and guaranteed not to rot.....ever! About the only wood in the entire boat is in the shifter knob. I cannot wait to see BJ ride that wakeboard he won!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right BJ!?!?!?

Getting to see Jane Cole and her family was a great treat. I could talk to them for hours. I also enjoyed meeting (thanks to Jane!) Billy and Vernelle Sides (Owners of the 53 CC). They are from my home town here in Albemarle NC and happen to be one of my best friend's aunt and uncle. Mr. and Mrs. Sides have lived in Orlando for many years, but they do get back to NC to visit family. I will try to get the 53 CC into the diaries section with Mr. Sides' help.

Finally......I was able to meet Mr. and Mrs jbear, and maddmarxx. However, I wish I would have spent more time with these two. They are extremely nice and very loyal to CC !!! Those two have really nice boats, and madmarxx should get an award for most creative paint color!! That boat is BRIGHT!! I hope we can spend more time in the future trading stories and talking about our boats. Who knows where that might be......

I also met some new people while at the reunion, like Mike Alexander and his family with a 73 SN that I would like to own one day!! The CC family is the greatest.

I am already getting ready for next year in Orlando. I want to take my 79 BFN. We will see what happens.

I have some photos, but I may have to download them tomorrow night. I won't duplicate any that have already been posted.

We were very blessed with a safe vacation, and you all know who I have to thank for that!

Great to meet you as well Paul. Glad you had a safe trip. Hope you get to feel better soon. You know I gotta agree with all your comments as to the C/CFAN family.

We know where our blessings come from too.

Can't wait to see ya again. We always got a room here. You, BJ, me, Eddie, MM and Keith...sounds like a fun time.

PS: I'll drive just to see BJ on that board!

John, We both have the same classic gray hair but at least we still have hair!! I don't feel old because of it. I consider myself to be of a classic age but feel we both have lots of great years ahead of us!! I've got more boats that I want to restore and a Classic would be one of the good choices.

Thanks John, those graphics 'like' being reversed where some others I've seen don't...I'd like to see the same effect in blue.

Sea World in September. CC ownwers get in for free I think with a nice meal and prizes. Very much worth the trip. My wife and I went with the JBear's this year. It was big fun.

Geno: Watch the SouthEast web site for info....or call them and ask for Theresa. She takes care of everything for all of us. The price was $7.00 a person for boat owners. Parking...a great meal...hat...and entry into the park. An awesome time...don't miss it. Just meeting people from here makes it worth-while.

BTW: Eddie ...you and JoAnne gotta save the day and go with us again!

Can't believe it took you a year to catch your boat on this thread wake...but thanks for the bump. I really enjoyed going back thru all of MM's great pictures. What a great day...very sad that the company can't see the value in a day such as this.

Yeah, I'm kinda new to this site. I was actually trying to find the post about the florida CCF reunion and came across it on accident. Anyway, you think they will keep the Sea World deal going? Also, has anyone from Orlando had their boat serviced at the new dealership, or are you guys sticking with Woody?

Wake 2001, do you have to ask that question? Southeast has the track record for service and parts.
Only the name was changed, all else remains the same.My money is on Woody and his team to survive thru the downturn of recreation boating, hope the best for the new CC dealership. But it is gonna be tough to compete for the service in the Orlando market.
Appears bad timing to open a New Dealership of any type today, a good repeat customer base is not accumulated with only a lighted sign, a show room and an onknown service center...........Boat dr

Billy,

Your analysis made me think of one of the partners in the firm I used to work for. This guy wasnt really too bright, not sure how he got to be a partner. But in discussing marketing, he reported that he read the number one thing that keeps customers coming back, or the number one thing that customers value is "TRUST". Do they trust us to represent them and do the best work possible for them and all that. So this guy says, "when we make sales calls we have to sell 'TRUST'". Yeah, that works. (to quote a local radio host here in Boston "You can trust me, I'm not like the others".)

No, I didn't have to ask that question but I did and got an answer from you. I know I too am sticking with what I know and like, but am sure there will be some who don't and wanted to see what people thought of the new dealership and service.

Probably should have started a new thread. oh well
