I just paged through the print version of the Harbor Freight catalog. It has to be one of the most entertaining catalogs I've ever read- just about every gadget that any remotely mechanical individual could want. Anyone order from HF? | I bought one of the most useful products I have ever owned from Harbor. It is called the "Jiggler." It is a simple siphon that easily transfers gas from a tank to the boat. Totally eliminates the need for funnels. Is especially helpful on boats that have the gas cap on the side. Cost is about $6.00. Totally recommend it. |

I bought my gravity feed spray guns from them when I painted my Tique. Their products are not for every day use; but, they are fine around the house use. I've got a Jiggler too..i changed the hose on it and it is a real energy saver. Bought a handful of stuff from HF, a lot of it trash, some just for a single job. Some of the tools in the boat tool kit are HF stuff. Better to have some cheap emergency tools than nothing at all.
I do love the ads and catalogs...always interesting browsing. ------------- I'd rather have a drink on the rocks in the boat than have a boat on the rocks in the drink. Been there, done that, no bueno. |

M3Fan, I think the basspro one (smaller diameter) is better. My HF Jiggler kept kinking, so i changed the hose and now i 've got great flo and no kinks! My jiggler is of the larger variety from Bass Pro, have been jigglin it for quite a few years now and has always preformed flawlessly with smooth and consistent fluid transfer!!

In summary:
M3Fan has jiggler envy. He hasn't even got a jiggler yet, and his plan for a stock size jiggler is already dismissed upon discovering the larger version. Go big or go home. Darrel is secure with his jiggler size. He uses it to it's maximum, and then some. After some repairs it's as good as new and back in service. Quinner is surely a master at handling his jiggler. Business or pleasure, doesn't matter. ------------- |

Nope, these self priming jigglers only require a hole. Problem here is they can go off on their own. This might be why Darrel has had to replace his prematurely.
I use a hose of older technology. It does require suction before putting it in the hole. This allows you extra time in the hole for manuvering into the right spot. A little more labor and time involved, but it's cheaper and still gets the job done. ------------- |

Let's see what you can do with this.
I bought a steering wheel puller from HF. It had quite an assortment of fingers of varying lengths so you could pull just about any size wheel and the reach would fit about any size hub or stud. My wheel was really stuck so I had to crank it hard and ended up rounding over the tip and striping the center shaft as well as skinning my knuckles when it finally came off. All in all a throw away tool but it was cheaper than paying someone to pull it for me even though I may have gotten it off faster.  ------------- You can’t change the wind but you can adjust your sails |

I buy tools etc. from habor freight. I wouldn't buy one of their generators or welding machines. Their east coast warehouse is on I-95 not too far from the NC line, that place is huge, and they have a retail store on the front. ------------- Tim D |

I just put my jiggler into action this weekend (it's never too late). I must agree that's the best six dollars I've spent. If you bring your gas to the dock, you must have one of these devices or something like it. Thanks for the advice.
