All of the sudden my steering is tight to the right, sometimes stops in a certain spot, unless you turn it back to the left a little, then it frees up. It turns fine with no resistance to the left. Is the steering cable worn out? ------------- Tim D |

Sounds more like the helm assy,the cable could be at fault also.........

I see that since I have the orginal white cable, I have to buy a clevis kit. Does that part connect to the rudder? ------------- Tim D |

| it may not be the cable. mine did exactly the same thing. left turns ok, right hard. there is a grease fitting on the rudder assembly under the gas tank area. that did the trick. turns great both ways now. i bet this will fix the problem. |
