I have cracked exhaust manifolds on my 1966 Barracuda which has the old Poly 318 and have not been able to locate new NOS Chrysler manifolds. I have found out that OSCO makes a conversion manifold part #CI818 that should work. They are different looking and use 2 3/8" hoses instead of 2 1/2" hoses. Has any one converted to these manifolds and did you use your 2 1/2" hoses or switch to 2 3/8" hoses? Did you have any problems with clearance, etc. with the OSCO manifolds?

cuda, Many of us who have older marine engines have had to go the Osco route. There is nothing wrong with them and are really a good manifold. Just like anything else that gets changed you may need some minor modifications. Before you get new hoses (do check the condition of yours) see if they will clamp down on the Osco's. Always use double hose clamps at each joint and I like the "T" type for even clamping pressure. You will ether need more hose or to trim existing because I doubt the riser to hose connection point will be the same. | Pbrainard, Thanks for the reply. Do you have a poly 318 with the OSCO manifolds on it? If so, can you post a photo? I have not purchased the OSCOs yet but plan to this week. |

cuda, Sorry, I don't but do know many who have had to use the Osco's. Do look close at the different types of risers with the different available angles. I have the 66 with the poly 318...my hoses are 2 3/8 inch. They are hard to find...took about 2months for west marine to round them up ------------- 'cuda |

I believe mine are Osco as well. I can check the size this weekend. You might be able to find originals at A&A marine (www.classicboating.com) They deal in older inboards specializing in Century which used Chrysler a lot in the early & mid 70's. Below is a picture of my setup:

It never dawned on me when it first came up to look for the 2 3/8" hose other that a marine supply. I must be slipping in my old age! I keep the Mcmaster Carr book at my side at all times. Go to mcmaster.com at put in part #5285K93 in their search and look at the specs.

With Pete's help, I found some suitable 2-3/8" tubing at McMaster-Carr for a reasonable price. There were two additional sources I found for the Trident brand of marine tubing
