Hey Guys-

I'm curious if anyone has located replacement windshield gaskets. I have a 78'SN with the front vent wiondows made by Taylor Made.

I have tried Taylor directly as well as that one winshield resto guy I read about on this site. To date I haven't got a call back from him. Napa wasn't any help either.

Anybody got a link, stock #'s etc.

Thanks- Wet Dash NM.

I emailed Taylor Made about a month ago looking for a windshield for my Mustang.I received a reply saying sorry we only supply windshields up to 10 yrs old. Called a number I found on this site, 518-773-9352 and talked to Robin,a Taylor Made rep. I now have one on the way,it won't be the same as original, but it has the period look.Anyway give her a call,if she's not there you can leave a message or be transfered to someone else.Maybe in your case they can help also.

mike I was able to get the material from MWCC But that was for the rest of the window and not the half sided stuff for the lower vents. Can't remember if I asked for it realy only needed the other stuff and can;t recall if they stocked it or not.

If anyone can post a pic or drawing of the gasket material with dimensions, I can probably get it, if I don't already have it.

79, how hard is it to change out, my 78 Cuddy has a similar windshield although I think the frame is much thicker and it also leaks bad. Have not tried to remove any of it yet.

It's not that hard but can be at times. You need to make sure every piece is kept in the same position and place and not flipped or swapped with another piece. Otherwise the screw holes don't line up. Getting the frame over the gasket is easier if you spread it out slightly and then kinda crimp it some to tighten it back up after it's all together.
