I have a medium sized leak from the rear main in my 351 PCM. Should I use a 1 piece or 2 piece seal when I fix it? Also can the replacement be done without removing the crank?

Thanks for your help.
Ken

Older Ford blocks have a two piece seal. I think around 1980 they have one piece seals. An engine with two piece seals, the crank has directional lines that push oil back to the oil pan. An engine with a one piece seal, the crank is smooth and the seal has the directional lines. One piece seal, you need the marine, for reverse rotation and those I've seen are orange.
