     The Firefighter

A firefighter is working on the engine outside the station when he notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.

The girl is wearing a firefighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat. The firefighter walks over to take a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire truck", the firefighter says with admiration. "Thanks", the girl says. The firefighter takes a closer look and notices the girl has tied her wagon to the dog's collar and the cat's testicles.

"Little Partner", the firefighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster."

The little girl replies thoughtfully, "You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren."

Waterdog and Billy,
Dont mean to hijack this thread....Pams dad, my father-in-law ,was also a fireman...He'd have been the one telling the joke! He passed away this spring ...the department gave him one H of a "send off"! They sure take care of their own!

Hope you dont mind a few pics from that day..

We never skied with him, but he's the reason our son is the avid fisherman he is today..

One of the most emotional moments in my life.
Dad was Asst.Fire Chief, and the "Last Call" was truly a tribute of the love these have for their own.
They named a fire house after him, and retired his call number......
If you see a fireman today thank him, he may one day save your life or one that you love or care for.....boat dr

Battalion Chief Fleischmann retired two years ago in November. My favorite moments were as a kid hanging out at the station looking through the Playboys in the bathroom.

Steve, nice Fleetwood in the second pic!

hollywood,
Jason, our son, was my father-in-law's first grandchild.. Jason loved to go to the fire dept. with grandpa on Sat mornings to help wash the firetrucks.. He was the envy of all his friends! .... btw...he never said anything to me about the Playboys
