I didn't want you to miss my question. I copied this out of my wood boat show thread;
Eric, Saw a very early Paragon hydraulic hooked up to a flywheel forward 283 marinized by Chris. I would have gotten a picture but I forgot my camera! This is even after I talked about it! Was Paragon the first to come out with the hydraulic? What year was that?

ive seen them as the early 60's hydraulically, in the beginning they were alot of mechanicals from the 50's. im sure they were one of the first maybe, i really dont know. they started out in Taunton Massachusetts then Twin Disc purchased them and then Great Lakes Power ended up with them. the earliest hydraulic i remember is about 1965. if you remeber the old landing craft at d-day they used Twin Disc Mechanicals, now im curious on the history, I'll do some digging
