I have a 79 Nautique that I picked up in Virginia this spring. It is supposed to have a cracked block. I was going to replace the motor, but I have done nothing with it to date. As of this morning I need to move it out of storage & just would like to get my money back on it. I can post it in the for sale section, but wanted to get the word out & hopefully get a quick sale (for my lifes sake!)I think it would be a great boat for the money.
First $1100 takes it home!!!!!!!!!!!

These are pics from when I bought it.

Greg, are the stringers and floor solid?

You sure you wont sell the red Skier instead?

As far as I know they are good. The floor is solid except the piece that screws in behind the motor. It needs to be reinforced a little. I picked it up on Ebay, brought it home & it has been in covered storage since.

Skier will stay put for now!

It is located just North of Atlanta.

I do believe CC did that or similar paint scheme on some boats, can't remember if it was a Rainbow Nautique or something along those lines. We did a similar paint scheme on my old 77', turned out very cool, sold the boat to a guy in SE Wisco, wonder if it is still out there somewhere.

Congrats. I can not remember where or who but I think I have seen graphics like that before and they maybe original. Boat looks do-able from photos.

I would much rather have Greg's newly acquired bowtie powered BFN, but I am sure I can find enough parts to make at least one good boat out of all three of the 79's.

Greg, No need to apologize to me, as I'll be OK. Just make sure you call your mechanic and tell him to make room for it as well. At least you still have the Mopar Skier.

EDIT: Paul, I'll take the poor sad engine and trans if you don't need it.
EDIT2: I'm getting me a BOBFN that'll pull every footer on this site. That's a Blue Oval Barefoot....., not Battery Operated Boy Friend Nautique.

It is funny to watch things spin around here...I was bidding against you on that 79.

Keith how about an "I'm bidding on this" section?

No added value in this post, just couldn't let it pass.

ReidP,

I have missed something along the way, who is getting a BFN? Does this BFN have a 460 in it? I read above about some one getting a ford powered BFN.

Ok, to clear this mess all up. I picked up the nautique pictured at the top this spring on Ebay. 69 Mustang (Mike) thought it was one he was bidding on against me. I bought a BFN this week. I pick it up tomorrow. I sold the nautique at the top to Paul Carpenter (Nautiquefanatic). No this BFN does not a blue oval, it has the 454. Reid wants to build a blue oval BFN to show all of the bowties a think or two.

Greg: I don't think he means the boat.....must be talking about that tow vehicle.

*It was stated incorrectly!* Look what it's sitting beside! I have boat parts scattered all over this property, and in the house, in every room. Some of that stuff is called "junk" by most people that see it......but I call it "treasure".

John, the tow vehicle hooked to the other 79 is a $900 Chevy 4x4 truck......that I proudly drove to a Nautique Reunion here in NC dragging an 81 SN Limited.....that took first place in the show.... My buddy, Keith W. made me unhook the truck and put his Tahoe in it's place........he was getting sick on his stomach seeing that old "Sanford and Son" truck hooked to my "Show Stopper 81 Limited". TRUE STORY!

C'mon; you're telling me you hooked that awesome boat to a $900 truck? And I had mrs jbear searching all the Florida CarMax sites for a F-150 that would match the '80!

I did, and was going to leave it hooked to it for the duration of the event, but Keith W. wouldn't allow it. Hey, when you tie all your money up in Correct Craft boats, you pull them with whatever you can!
