I see lots of older model Nautiques with after market towers installed. I have a '92 SNOB that I am contemplating a tower for. Can those who have been through the retrofit experience give me some do's and dont's pointers? I'd like to know who makes the best tower, what to avoid, does it compromise the skiing and cruising experience, does it cause potential structural damage etc....thanks.

We used to ski with a guy named Don Borges at Lake Tahoe. He is the athletic director at S Tahoe High School. He put a tower on his 92. His number is 530 541-1351. He is a great guy and will help if he can.

This is second time I've typed this message. I hope it posts this time.

There is tons of info on towers for all types of boats. A simple search on this forum gives 7 topics, one that was posted just last month.

the2001.com has a thread with pics of the 2001 series boats with towers:

A good DIY site for towers and accessories is at:

Finally, some pics of Monster towers on Correct craft boats (from monstertower.com)

If you do a little research, you can find plenty of info on towers. Or I guess you can just post a new thread and let someone else do it for you.

I have a '93 SNOB and I installed the Monster tower. The guys at Monster are GREAT to work with. Their price is so reasonable, the shipping is free, the quality is top notch, and I'm, obviously, extremely happy with my tower. It is very quiet, supper solid, it's easy and fast to put up and down, it fits under my factory boat cover and it acts as a lift for my boat cover so that the rain doesn't collect in it.

I use it for wakeboarding and pulling the tube and boy does it help being able to keep people in the back seats when I take the kids and their friends out.

I'm not a big slalom guy so the tower was a must have. It hasn't hurt my wifes skiiing. (She's a hardcore old school skier)

If you have any questions about the install, the guys at Monster are great. I even broke a small piece and they next day aired the replacement to me for no charge and it was MY fault.

If you want to talk to an owner about it, you can e-mail me direct. I can't tell you how much I love my tower and how cool I think it looks to boot.

Good luck with your purchase.

The Roswell Tower site is : http://www.roswellwakeair.com/
