It looks like he has it secured from the front and back. But nothing to keep it from falling over sideways. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box, so long as no one gets hurt in the process.

   At least it makes it easier to climb up to hook on the rope.If that boat was mine,I'd already have modified the Bimini to accommodate the ladder !
