For those that have met Karen and I and those that just know us from this site:
Having come to the conclusion that She wants to spend even more time with myself and this happless crew we call CCFans,I have asked her to marry me. Our trip to Green Lake and the people we met there did not scare her off, nor doubt that this was a match that needed to be made permanent. So we are using this site to announce our intentions. Location and times are as follows; St. Pauls Episcopal Church 800 Center Street Key West Fl. I tried to get married on Jen's birthday,shot down,the next week was mothers day,no dice there either.So the following weekend May 21 we got married.In hind site I was foolish May is now packed with wife days,but this year will be 20 of them and I made it so far.Hard to forget a string like that. The vast majority of my first dates with my wife-to-be were boat/skiing related. She pretty much came to the understanding that that was going to be part of the deal. Marshall and I are in the truck right now cruising thru the upper keys in route to Key West to meet up with the good Doctor who made it down there mid-day today. I finally got me a new lap top after a long absence and with this air card I'm almost into the 21st century. Doc surprised Karen with a swim-with-the-dolphins adventure this morning in Key Largo. Steve, we got here too late for the helper springs or new shocks to be of any benefit. Looks like a complete new suspension system. Apparently there's a whole lot of boy left in that old man.
Bad news, we might end up leaving early; brutally warm!! (I know, I suck). Came thru some heavy rain coming down, but sunny here and windy. Were told it was nice and calm (flat seas) the last few days but we're set for high winds 25-35 and some T-storms next few days. But the bar here at the campground is always dry. We took a spray filled wet but fun boat ride just a bit ago and then hit the bar for a late lunch. Billy, Karen and Marshall have headed out to the dive shop for some snorkeling gear and diving duds while I'm R&Ring in the camper drinking tea (lots of driving yesterday). Later Karen's gonna try her hand, or legs, at snorkeling for the first time. The inlet or creek right here at the campground is a great spot to practice. Lots of sharks!! Yep, I know it. I found it for him up in Ohio back in '00. Howard lives right across the lake from me and brings the boat by quite often. It's definitely an eye catcher, and he's threatened to sell it several times now. I don't want to see it leave the area but what the hey, I think Howard wants something a little larger. If someone needs me to go check it out to make sure it actually exists as represented, just let me know. Just kidding, as it looks better in person.

We've been experiencing computer problems (dumped a few beers on the laptop) but we're back on track and still having a great time.

Steve, it looks the same in Portland, ME today. I told Boat Dr about 2 weeks ago that winter was almost over and an early spring was coming. Shows what I know, we've got about 3 feet of snow on the ground now. Today is the 6th snow day for the kids. They'll be in school till the end of June. ------------- |
