I got these brackets with an aluminum boat I bought this past summer. The PO didn't know what they were supposed to fit. He put them on this boat because they looked good.
Well,I saw a set of chrome ones(a little different)go for $588 on ebay and all of a sudden the ones I have didn't seem to go as well with the aluminum boat as they did before.
The end brackets are stainless(according to our plating dept. at work)and the center one is brass. There was chrome plating flaking off one of the end brackets and the other one had nothing on it. Does anyone know if they were all chrome or do I have a mixed set?? Farmer

Gary, If the side brackets are stainless then they are reproductions. The center brass may be original but reproductions in the brass are available. The center was used on several different boat windshields in the late 30's and early 40's primarily Chris Crafts. The side brackets appear to be made to look like 30's Century style.
