Just wondering if anyone would know what the normal opperating temprature of the exhaust manifold would be. I'd like to have them painted and I think the max. temp. for the paint is between 200-250. I have an 1988 ford 351. The temp gauge on the engine usually read 180 max.

Thanks if anyone can help

Also, regular hi-temp engine paint, which comes from a half dozen or more mfrs, and in a ton of colors will definitely stay on.
