Has anyone replaced the RH rotation motor with a LH rotation motor? I know the starter, prop and maybe the mounting of the raw water pump might be a challenge. Just wondering.

Also the boat may not ride level as the weight of the driver is usually on the right to compensate for the torque of the RH motor.

Yea but, why is Correct Craft boats the only ski boats that use RH motors? Seems like when looking at ACME prop site all the other ski boat manufactures use LH props, are the drivers seats on the left hand side? Just wondering why, repowering would be easier with LH motors.

All new Correct Crafts are standard, LH rotation. This was brought on by the use of reduction gear transmissions which spin your prop the opposite direction from your engine. Historically, boats with right hand-starboard steering have used Reverse-RH rotation engines. Correct Craft did make a handfull of older boats with LH steering and engines. It all comes back to what Rick said above. And I've had a Mustang which someone had switched to a standard LH rotation and it DID list to starboard.

If you do switch to LH rotation you have to replace the 1:1 velvet drive with the 1.23:1 PCM tranny to counter act the haul loading. You will also have to replace several other items as well, starter, circulation pump(if direction, you don't if bi-directional already), prop, distrubutor gear, and you have to rotate the raw water pump 180 degrees.
