After finally finishing the restoration (or at least as far as I am going to take it). I am putting this 1967 Mustang up for sale.

Here is what was done to the boat:

New floor
New stringers
New seats (could use some finishing touches)
New electrical at engine (electronic distributor, plugs, wires, coil, solenoid)
New carburator
New fuel pump
New drive shaft
New rudder
New pylon
New gauges
New hoses (only those that were severely damaged)
New impellor
New carpet
New gas tank
Newer alternator
Removeable Swim Platform

As for the boat, here is some information on what I did and how it finished up. Based on conversations with the prior owner the boat has a 302 Ford in it that at some point replaced the 289 that it came with sometime in the 70’s. I was going to do a rebuild but this thing has such great oil pressure and just runs great. During the restoration I fabricated some seats out of wood and put them in place (my skills are not in upholstery so I used carpet and was going to come back to upholster later). They have adjustments forward and backward and the passenger seat can be faced forward or backward depending on if you are cruising or skiing. Stringers and floor were done as well (complete replacement not just partial). At that time I also did a roll in bed liner over the bilge area. During the process I added some items the original boat did not have that I felt were important, including (blower, bilge, small counsel with radio two speakers and 12V outlet). I moved the battery to the center of the boat instead of the driver side seat. If you wanted more original this box could be taken out as well as the cupholders in the rear. Note, everything else in the boat is as close to original as I could get. Boat still has gear selector on dash and accelerator foot peddle on floor. Boat has all original emblems in good shape except for starboard Correct Craft which is missing a C. All others are great (Mustang and horse on dash, F N R at gear selector, etc).

The boat is the best starting / running carburated boat I have ever been around. My wife and I would love to hold onto it but we need to make room for the other toys.

If you are a perfectionist you would want to spend some time on the exterior as there are areas with gel coat cracking (very typical of boats built in this time period). In addition, you may choose to do something a little more fancy for the seats.

Please email with any questions you may have. I have plenty of pixtures of specific items of the boat as well as running pictures, etc. I have listed the price as such with a freshly painted trailer. I have not completed this as of yet so if the boat and trailer are taken as is I would let go for $4,000.
