Updated 2/8/08. This boat for sale. I have decided to let go of this beautiful Mustang. Since my last post, I have rebuilt the motor,(dropped a valve last summer) and it has less than 25 hours since the build. I have added Ford GT40P heads which has improved the performance. It is in immuculate condition.
This ’70 Mustang was purchased from the origional owner in 2000 in Dayton Ohio. Mr Don Bowen, an avid skier, purchased the boat new on September 5 1970 from Lake Gage Marine in Angola Indiana.(I have all origional paperwork, literature and manuals). Don and his wife enjoyed the boat until 2000, when I was fortunate enough to meet Don and make the purchase.
Although the boat was in "new condition" I had to spend the winter months upgrading my new toy. The motor has been completely rebuilt, (machine work by an ex- Holman Moody team member) with flat top pistons, high lift cam and ported and polished heads. We added a Mallory electronic ignition, Eldelbrock Performer manifold and 4bbl Eldelbrock carb .
Te interior was immacculate and only the seats needed covering. All gauges were origional and in perfect working order. All chrome has been refirbished for that show quality look.
This boat is used for pure fun all summer long on beautiful Lake Norman in North Carolina. It also gets plenty of attention.
Thank you Don, for caring for such a great toy and thank you Reid for introducing me to the Correct Craft experience!
